Thursday, October 15 | 6:00–8:00 PM
York Baptist Association

Sunday has a way of coming around quickly.

Whether you preach every week or are preparing for your first opportunity, it helps to have a clear process for moving from the biblical text to a faithful sermon.

Join us as Dr. Brian Saxon, Shepherd Team Leader with SC Baptist, walks us through the basics of sermon preparation. This will be practical training you can put to work the next time you open a passage to preach.

We’ll focus on:
• Studying a passage carefully
• Finding its main idea
• Structuring a sermon that communicates it clearly

We want to handle God’s Word faithfully and help people hear what the text is say
